Mariano’s daughter, Mia, committed suicide in March 2021 after being abused and bullied at school and online.

More than a year later, Mariano is still waiting for answers about the events that preceded him 14-year-old daughter dies.

It devastated the family so much that her mother, Marisa, died within a few months of an aggressive form of sudden cancer.

Mariano, from north London, wants parents whose children have committed suicide to be allowed access to their social media – at the moment, there is no need for social media companies to hand over data to the police or coroner without a court order.
