2022 Barbasol Championship odds, field: Surprising PGA picks, predictions from model that’s called 8 majors

Barbasol 2022 would always have been played without the defending champion. Seamus Power, who won a six-hole playoff last year, earlier this year chose to play in the Scottish Open that same weekend. As it turns out, he eventually chose not to play in it, earning a tie for 30th at the Irish Open last week on the European Tour.

This means that any of the contenders for the 2022 Barbasol Championships could be the next to lift the trophy ahead of the Open Championship. Chris Guterrup is the favorite 20-1 in the 2022 Barbasol Championship Final Odds on Caesars Sportsbook, and he’s joined by Kevin Strelman (20-1). Others like Adam Svensson (22-1), Mark Hubbard (22-1) and John Huh (28-1) make up the next group up front. Best Predictions for the 2022 Barbasol Championship

One of the big surprises the model invites at Barbasol Championships 2022: Streelman (20-1), a two-time PGA event winner and a Vegas favorite, is stumbling and barely cracking the top five. Streelman hasn’t been getting into Kentucky in the best shape lately because he’s only placed one in the top 25 in his last eight events. He’s lost half of the cuts at this stretch and has failed to hit equal or better in all four rounds of any of the eight tournaments.

Much of Streelman’s struggles can be attributed to his iron play as he struggled so hard with his long game. After ranking 33 in Strokes Earned: Close to the Green last season, Streelman has dropped nearly 100 points to 130 in the stat this year. Even when he’s on the green, he struggles to turn as he ranks 133rd in hits earned: the shot. Given the 76 bunkers located at the Keene Trace Golf Club and the hilly greens you’ll be up against, there are much better options out there than Streelman for your bets at the 2022 Barbasol Championship.

Another surprise: Hank Leboda, a 35-1 long shot, shoots hard for the title. Although Lebioda hasn’t done much in other leagues this season to catch the eye, he should be in a much better scenario this weekend. Other familiar names looking for tuning ahead of the Open play at the Scottish Open, paving the way for Liebuda at the Kane Trace Country Club.

While Lebioda didn’t put it all together in this year’s events, at the end of last season he showed what he can do. In three tournaments between June 27 and July 11, he took the top ten and two of the top five. In the field of lesser known commodities, Lebioda offers tremendous value with its high.
