On July 30, UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Julianna Pena got a chance to prove that her shock UFC 269 victory over Amanda Nunes was no fluke. The duo will rematch in the main event of UFC 277 from American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Nunes entered bout the first in a 12-fight winning streak that included victories over every woman to hold the featherweight or bantamweight title. This race led to her being named the best female fighter in women’s MMA history. Pena was expected to be just another opponent in Nunes’ incredible career. Pena proved to be more than an opponent when she dominated Nunes before scoring a backhand throttle in the second round.

In the co-main event, former flyweight champion Brandon Moreno will face Kara-France in the 125-pound interim championship. Moreno lost the title last January after a close decision by Davson Figueiredo in the triple match. Moreno’s 2019 win over Kara-France was part of his run to the championship.

This and much more on board on July 30th in Dallas. Make sure to stay tuned to this page for the latest Battle Pass news and updates.
