The Boston Red Sox will turn to promising young Brian Bellew to start Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays, Bellow confirmed to MassLive.com. Technical director Alex Cora told reporters on Monday that Bello was a candidate for approval.

Bello, 23, has improved his stock dating last year. In 15 appearances split between Double- and Triple-A this season, he has amassed 2.33 ERAs and a 3.45 hit-to-walk ratio.
