
A Premier League and international player, who was arrested in north London on Monday on suspicion of rape, has been questioned over further rape allegations against another woman.
On Tuesday, the Metropolitan Police said the man was again arrested on suspicion of two rapes in 2021 against another woman.
He was released on bail until August.
Mitt Police said in a statement: “On July 4, police were informed of an allegation of rape of a woman in her twenties.
“The alleged rape was reported to have occurred in June 2022. On July 4, a 29-year-old man was arrested at an address in Barnet on suspicion of rape and taken into custody.
While in custody, he was arrested again on suspicion of two rapes allegedly committed in April and June of 2021 against a different woman in her twenties.
He was subsequently released on bail until a date in August. Investigations are still ongoing into his circumstances.
