ATLANTA (AFP) – Atlanta Braves player Eddie Rosario has been activated from the injured list and starts on the left field against the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday night.
The Braves also activated the left reliever Tyler Matzek from the injured list.
To clear points for Rosario and Matzic, first baseman Mike Ford was selected to Triple-A Gwinnett and Silvino Bracho was assigned the task.
Rosario was placed on the list of injured on April 25 due to blurred vision and swelling of the right retina. He had a procedure to fix the condition. He hit just 0.068 at 44 bats before landing on the hit list after hitting 0.259 with 14 Homers with Cleveland and Atlanta in 2021.
Matsik was placed on the list of injured on May 17 with inflammation of the left shoulder. He was expected to serve in a set-up role and had a 5.06 ERA in 13 games as he struggled for his control before being put on the injured list.
Ford’s waiver of concessions was claimed from Seattle on June 10 and recalled from Gwinnett on June 20.
Bracho, who bid for Arizona from 2015-20, scored one goalless turn in his only appearance for Atlanta after being acquired from Boston for financial considerations on Friday.
