Two title matches will draw UFC 276 on Saturday, with middleweight champion Israel Adesanya defending his belt against second contender Jared Kannoner. The main UFC 276 fight card is set at 10 p.m. ET from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Adesanya will present his fifth defense since winning the unified title in October 2019, to continue his stated quest to take on all eligible opponents. Adesanya won by decision in February in a rematch against former champion Robert Whitaker, paving the way for Kanonair to claim his first UFC title.

Adesanya is the favorite -380 (risking $380 to win $100), while Cannonier is back at +310 in the latest UFC 276: Adesanya vs. Cannonier from Caesars Sportsbook. In the co-main event, featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovsky (-190) faced famous reigning champion Max Holloway (+170) in a three-way fight. UFC 276: Adesanya vs. Cannonier Preview

Adesanya (22-1) has emerged as one of the most popular and active UFC champions, and recently secured a lucrative multi-fight contract for his efforts. He remains undefeated at the middleweight since joining the UFC in February 2018. The only defeat of his record came last March in his quest to become a second-tier champion when he relinquished his decision to former heavyweight champion Jan Blachovich.

However, the 32-year-old New Zealander appears to be unrivaled in the middleweight at this point in his career, and he has vowed to take on all comers. Adesanya is known as one of the sport’s most lethal strikers, but has been criticized in some quarters for his lack of aggression against certain opponents. Three of his past four victories came by decision.

Adesanya will likely be forced into an action-packed affair against a rugged Cannonier (15-5), the latest in a string of title contenders to see an increase in his career of late lead to a chance to fight for the belt.

Kanonair, 38, is a seven-year Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran who has been 3-4 times in promotion and is considered more than just a driver. He previously fought at heavyweight and light heavyweight before a renewed dedication to training and fitness allowed him to find his groove in the middleweight.

Cannonier has received performance bonuses in three of his past six fights while showing a combination of speed and power that has made him one of the most feared competitors in the division. In February, he ousted permanent competitor Derek Bronson in the second round of a title elimination. You can only see who you’ll support at UFC 276 at SportsLine.

UFC 276 Fight Card Predictions

Here we’ll share one of Gombas’s UFC 276 predictions: He bolsters Andre Muniz (-280) to overtake Uriah Hall (+240) in the middleweight veteran’s fight.

Muniz (22-4) is a wrestling expert and ‘Dana White’s Contender Series’ fan who has 15 career starts and has won 3 fights in a row by armbar. Eric Anders halted in the first round of their fight in December.

Hall (17-10) is a nine-year UFC veteran whose recent rise to the top ten of the UFC rankings made him, but a loss to No. 4 seed Shaun Strickland in his last fight cut a four-game winning streak.

“Moniz is a jiu-jitsu player and Hall has shown flaws in his wrestling. Hall is about to turn 38 and his best days are over.” Gombas told SportsLine. See who chooses here.
